Jewels Aficionado Lands at the Oscars

The 2024 awards season culminated in Hollywood’s biggest event of the year held Sunday night in Los Angeles: the 96th Academy Awards.

Continuing its awards season run, Jewels Aficionado followed up its sartorial wins at the Critics’ Choice Awards, Primetime Emmy Awards, Grammys, and SAG Awards with celebrity appearances at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party.

The Vanity Fair Party started in 1994 as an elite gathering of Hollywood’s most famous and powerful to celebrate post-Oscars awards ceremony. Now in its 30th year, the event has expanded to include a who’s who of the entertainment industry, far beyond film stars.

Celebrities across sports, music, and reality television are known to show up at the Oscars biggest afterparty. Think: Serena Williams, Oscar winner Billie Eilish, Ice Spice, and several Kardashians, just to name a few at the 2024 bash, in addition to actors and actresses fresh off their Oscar wins and losses.

The Vanity Fair Oscar Party red carpet rivals that of the Oscars itself, with entertainers vying for their own moment in the fashionable spotlight.

As in other major awards ceremonies this year, the Vanity Fair red carpet showcased the recent trend of men’s maximalist accessories. The brooch was undeniably the MVP in this category.

Actor Justin Theroux showed just how much a brooch elevates a classic suit.

Styled by Chloe Hartstein, Theroux opted for a timeless all-black Zegna suit, dress shirt, and tie.

The monochrome palette was the perfect backdrop for an ornate accessory. Hartstein and Theroux adorned the suit with a Jewels Aficionado antique brooch.

Crafted in platinum and featuring rich, old mine-cut diamonds, the brooch’s strong, simple silhouette would suit a variety of outfits for either gender.

“Stranger Things” actor Joe Keery’s accessories amplified a less formal and more fun outfit.

Also styled by Hartstein, Keery wore a suit and shirt from Italian brand Giuliva Heritage.

The gray pinstripe suit was anything but stuffy when paired with a mustard-colored shirt, left slightly unbuttoned. Hartstein played up the mix of cool and warm tones in the outfit by mixing metals in Jewels Aficionado jewelry.

Keery wore a Jewels Aficionado diamond tennis necklace in 18-karat white gold, as well as a Jewels Aficionado yellow gold and white gold antique brooch with diamonds.

Overall, the outfit exemplified how fine jewelry can enhance more casual approaches to formalwear, rather than only a tuxedo or classic dark suiting. The Jewels Aficionado accessories lent the look a successful swagger that took it from merely fashionable to truly stylish.

Television host Karamo Brown rose to fame in part for his stylistic prowess as part of the “Queer Eye” cast, where he acts as the culture expert on the makeover show. He also fronts his eponymous talk show, “Karamo,” launched in 2022.

Styled by Chris B. Kim, Brown dazzled in a Jewels Aficionado brooch and vintage Gucci suit on the Vanity Fair red carpet.

Kim outfitted the star in a white gold, diamond, and pearl brooch that expertly contrasted with the brown double-breasted suit and metallic brown shirt and tie.
